Magic Circle Centenary Celebrations

Postby GoldFish » Jun 13th, '04, 17:13

Next year sees the Magic Circle's 100th Birthday and, as expected, there are going to be some amazing celebrations.

I was just wondering how many people from TalkMagic are considering going to the celebrations?

It looks like an amazing event.

The details are at www.themagiccirclecentenary.co.uk

All the best,

There have been a few e-mails and PM's about this one and it's certainly going to cost a bit. Apart from the £175 or so for admission there's the cost of accommodation and travel for those of us who live out of the area. I'm still very tempted and I might send a very early letter to Santa to ask if he can chip a few quid in!

yea, the money thing is a big issue and if anything stops me from going that will probably be it. Timing-wise it should be really good for me because I will have finished my first year of uni and will be doing nowt except probably practising my magic so really it will be the perfect time. But as I say, I probably won't be able to raise the cash unless I make my decision now aswell as sacrifice a few things along the way.

(Mandrakes adopts his 'Mystic Meg' persona and utters his prognosis [it's OK, EU Law says it's no longer illegal so there!])

I foresee many hoards of street magicians/balloon modellers/buskers suddenly appearing over the next few months - all trying desperately to raise the cash to get to the MC Celebrations. Take pity on them for one of them may be me!

Isn't it even more expensive if you're not in the magic circle? Which I'm not. I'll have to give this one a miss, methinks...

£200 each (about 290 euros) for non-members and their partners.

it certainly is, I won't be going because thers no were to park in london and for that price i can have a new radio mike system.
