Sticky Blue Book, or something else?

Postby JakeThePerformer » Mar 21st, '10, 16:42

I was looking at this book by Anthony Owen, The Sticky Blue Book.
In looking into it, it appears that the book is a number of tricks based on a previous product of his known as Changin' Glue. (Please tell me if this is wrong.)

Since Changin' Glue is much cheaper, should I purchase it, or should I purchase The Sticky Blue Book? Does the Sticky Blue Book provide ideas that I wouldn't be likely to come up with from just looking at Changin' Glue? Is the Sticky Blue Book really worth the extra money for me?

Which do you think I should purchase, The Sticky Blue Book or Changin' Glue?

Thank you,

-Benjamin

Changin'Glue is available from various places and is not Anthony's product. In the Sticky Blue Book as you suggest, he has come up with a number of routines which utilise this helpful substance. Anthony is a very experienced and gifted magical creator, and so unless you are extremely creative, I suspect you would be unlikely to come up with loads of uses for the glue on your own. If you already have a routine in mind that you need the glue for, go buy some glue. If you are interested in some good routines using the stuff, go buy the book - and you'll need some glue too!

Thank you,

It appears you are referring to the gimmick or substance.

I was referring to basic instructions for a trick with it by Anthony Owen that can be bought as a product.

So would that one trick make all of the others clear, or do they all use very different methods? Based on what you said so far, it sounds like Sticky Blue Book would be the best for me.

Thank you,

-Benjamin

Hi Benjamin,

I'm sorry. I didn't realise he sold the stuff with a routine. I suspect you wouldn't give away the crown jewels with the glue on its own!

For my money I thin I'd go for the book...

I'd get the book, books always have ideas in that you wouldn't have thought of yourself.

I have the book at home. If it hasn'talready been reviewed here, I can refresh my memory over the next few days and try to get some semblance of a review up for you.

He also has 2 other books called some tricks and some more tricks which have some great effects in them including a nice twist on the acaan plot

not a fan of sigs, so I won't bother adding o..... oh
