ok, strange question.

i've got an opportunity to move later this year, pretty wide range, but
is it better to be located in a city centre? buzz of the city... etc.
or perhaps a coastal holiday area?

or does it not matter at all?

i do manily close up - restaurants, weddings, etc... and i am getting into cabaret and stand up.

i guess there will be some places everywhere, but your thoughts?

You will have more competition in a city, more magic shops, and bigger shows (depending on whether you can compete). A holiday area has almost a guarantee of small shows, and will have very little competition, but smaller shows. The sea is nice,too

Well, depending on how good you are and the population of your area your choices are:
1- Being a small fish in a big sea
2- Being a big fish in a small pond

However I would base my decision on where I want to live not where I want to work, I can get a job anywhere.

why not just have a look round next time you visit there, see what opportunities are about?!
