House of Magic UK Re-Opening

Postby Starving Stu » Apr 1st, '10, 20:00

Hello one and all,

My names Stuart Millward (It's ok I haven't heard of myself either) and I'm the new owner of House of Magic UK, on Brook Street in Stourbridge.

Any regular customers will know me as the former manager, I've been a bit doolally and brought the business. What could possibly go wrong? Oh wait, I could lose all my money. Well apart from that nothing at all can go wrong.

Anyway at the mo House of Magic is being re-halued, re-painted and re-furbished. It Re-opens on Saturday the 17th April. Shop will be open that day 10am till 5pm. There'll be free nibbles and drinks and what else....oh yes magic. Lots of new magic to look at. You may even like to buy some. I do have to eat you know.

Seriously it should be a fun day, I'm hoping to make the shop brighter, more cheerful and just darn more fun. Hope to see you all there!

Just for one day, or will it be open forever?

Hi Stu

Congratulations but what's happened to John?

Next time that I'm in Stourbridge (won't be too long) I'll call in.

Good luck.

Hi Stu, I'm coming along if I can possibly make it. I hope loads of people come out to support a great proper bricks and mortar magic shop.

Craig.

Thanks one and all!

John will still be at the back of the shop in his office, don't worry he's fine and well! He's just concentrating on his other businesses now.

Sat April 17th should be a fun day and yes it will be open after that  Well, hopefully.

What a timely post. I was going to be in that neck of the woods next week and was going to pop in (not realising the shop wasn't open). I take it there's no chance of a visit before the grand opening?...

I don't live too far away, so will pop it on my calender. Hopefully I can be there. Haven't been to a magic shop in ages (though there are reasons...money) and would be nice.

I went along to the last re-opening so may as well come along to this one.

What time shall we all arrive?

You can pop down to visit the store before the re-opening no worries. I have re-painted it so it has that 'fresh paint pong' and you may see me in there moving things round, hammering, yelling as I hit my thumb with hammer, etc, etc, but feel free to pop down.

There is an opening ceremony at 9:30 on the Sat 17th April, with the mayor of Dudley opening the store. Though the shop will be open until 5pm that day and the whole day should be a magical experience.

Tsk, what a corny line

I was indeed. But only on the Friday as I had a wedding fair to do the next day and it was mainly to pick up a huge quantity of Flash Paper for House of Magic.

Did I bump into you? If so I hope I was both polite and sober(ish). :D

I went to the shop on the friday that you were away! :D
Bought royal road, bandit ball, a sveng*ali deck, and my brother bought me dynamic coins for my birthday! :D Got a free booklet too, with a spl*t card trick in it. Great shop! :D

P.S: I think it was a spl*t card, not too sure about card gaffs.
