I was given a Midas 1.3 a couple of weeks ago to play with by a dealer. OK, it's the old version, but unless the new one had some very substantial and fundamental design upgrades it is VERY expensive for what it does and the facilities it provides. Oh yeah, and hand building to order is a standard manufacturing technique that ensures you produce stock only when an order comes in. It shouldn't bump up the price.

but.....

Ive this trick that i bought from ebay. Small ball, penetrates a mirror.
Alarm bells should of rung when the seller puts in the advert..

Iv'e never been able to get anything out of this myself, But I'm sure that in the right hands, this could be a miracle

As Paul Calf once said..

bag o'sh*te.

hehe :) Very similar experience, I bought a coin penetrates transparent plastic sheet trick from an ebay seller. Took me two days to get the varnish that was gluing the gaffed side off - and then I realised the coin slots were misaligned so the coin would never drop through. Waste of money - moral of the story - NEVER buy a trick you haven't seen first ;)

Mine's got to be Daryl Vanamburg's 'Black Widow'. Nice idea but overly expensive and virtually unuseable if you like to wear clothes that fit, which I do.
That being said, if you're a clown, or have a penchant for poncho's, you might get some use out of it.

and you can't judge an effect unless you have . you just cant. You have to be able to see if an effect has potential audience possibilities.
before slagging it off.

That said, most of the time they are 100% spot on with their crits.

Is GMG still going? I thought they stopped producing podcasts a while ago.

By The Hand Of Fu Hsi

I just cannot understand this. Maybe it's a good trick, but I can't figure it out.

Based on the description I just read, it sounds like a fancied-up version of the plastic "animal wheel" I had in my magic set when I was seven. My very first mentalism!

Probably the worst trick in my box is an eBay purchase. Can't remember the name, but it's one where you name the number on a die in a closed box. Technically it works well, but it depends on a really blatant peek at the worst possible moment, and I just can't figure out any way to do it discreetly.
