Please help...was it mentalism or something else?

Postby uber_confused » Apr 4th, '10, 09:45

Hi,
I am not a magician. A guy I know showed me following tricks:

1) Asked me to think of a 4 digit number and then to check my wallet - the same number was there hidden inside a tiny pocket of my wallet!

2) Told me while driving at night that even though we cant see any car ahead, can predict the number of the 1st vehicle we would pass - I said I dont want to see this magic in the dead of night so he didnt perform it. Was sad to let go, from his expressions.

Now is this plain simple magic any skilled human could do or something else? Something beyond human capabilities?

Pls help.

Thank you.

Hello.

There are lots of ways to do what you describe, but black magick is by far the most fun. It doesn't even cost you your own soul if you can con someone else into nominating theirs.

Hope that helps,

Pete

Sir, I am not interested in learning the tricks..just want to know what it was.
And if what they call black magic exists.....was it?

Thank you.

Nah. There are lots of ways of faking psychic shenanigans.

You'll find that things like this aren't scary if you take them at face value.

And goat's blood is so impractical these days. It starts to smell after a few days, the neighbours start complaining, and you lose your deposit with the letting agency.

Much easier to fake it IMHO.

Thank you for the reply.
I pray to God what you say is true that it wasn't.

One thing that baffles me about his whole business is that why did he need my permission to predict the number of the unseen vehicle? Same about one more "trick" he wanted to perform.
Or was it some type of hypnotism where the subjects co-operation is necessary?

Or maybe he wanted to freak you out?

Sounds like good showmanship to me.

Have you tried pigs blood? Its much easier to get hold of and most demons and spirits accept it. As long as your not doing a dionyson fertility ritual you should be fine. Although I'm no expert, so you should probably talk to crozboz about it. He's a practitioner of new age wicca and modern shamanism. As well as being a first rate mentalist.

Invoke not reason. In the end it is too small a deity.

if they guy could really do black magick, why do something so tawdry as a car number plate?

the more you think about it, the more "little" the things you saw become...

if he can "see" a four digit number, ring him up now and tell him to tell you your PIN, no questions asked or adding up to be done...

and, if you ask him "I'm thinking of a word tell me it" - if he asks you to write it down anywhere, or he suddenly changes category or adds more rules...say no...

or, you could just go with it, and enjoy it...he's trying to entertain you :D

No one was entertaining me...my life was turned upside down..to say the least.

if he can predict, ask him why he's not rich from the lottery...

are you religious?

I asked exactly the same lottery question. To which he replied he cant use it for his personal benefit, but thats what he ended up doing from me.
And he said if you believe in God, you must believe in Devil.
As good has no meaning in the absence of bad.
And yes, I do believe in God (90%)

ok, well...this is up to you then...

he's lying, if he's claiming that he can't do it for personal gain - what exactly stops that for happening...

right - bottom line is, he's fooled you...he's playing a role, and has drawn you in...its whats supposed to happen. you've believed him. don't feel bad about that either.

there's books you can buy to learn how to do all this. and remember that what you remember happening, may not actually be everything that happened, and what you see him do, may not actually be everything that he's doing.

relax, eat some chocolate, forget about it. :D

are you not aware of permissions ?

Many claim that a vampire or wraith once invited in may return as often as it pleases and wreak havoc upon those inside the house.
Strangely the same is true for bailiffs.
,if a warlock were to request permission to enter your psyche, then it would be virtually impossible to remove him from your spirit, unless you are lucky enough to know the correct ecclesiastical persons.

how long have you know this person that you call a friend,, are you sure of his real persona ?

Yes, after couple of his super-power demos, I felt as if I am hallucinating.

Thank you for your replies.

if someone does get freaked out too much by something, its not really their fault initially...
