A housemate has warned me that a TV crew for a hidden camera show have glued a £2 coin to the pavement in Swansea (Near Wilkinsons) and are filming it. They've done a good job, as someone's already tried with a screwdriver to lever the coin off but have failed.
I'm tempted to head down there with a sledgehammer or a chisel, but I want to know if anyone else knows of any way to be really "New Statesman Alan"ish to the film crew by taking the coin... or some other comeback to it...

Walk past with a spray can and paint over it black. Just to be a spoil sport.

Stick an image/word that couldn't possibly be broadcast on TV (at any time, ever) on the floor right next to it

Walk over there with a £2 coin palmed and ready.
Spot the one that's stuck to the floor, and 'appear' to pick it up, discreetly covering the stuck one with your foot.
If it's possible to leave it covered with something and walk away looking pleased with yourself, so much the better.
Make sure you have a candid camera set up to catch the TV crew when they come to investigate.

Or 'pick it up', show it to a passer by and appear to stick it to the ground again magically.

Much better solution.

An adaptation of Mr Wells idea that appeals to me is to have the cp coin prepared with glue on one side, you reach down and under cover of trying to pick the first up you stick the second one to the floor next to it. When you walk away £2 has become £4...
