Can't fault the JVC Everio camcorder. I got ours just after our first four years ago and it's not let us down once. When we got it we got an accessory pack thrown in (spare batt and case). Think they're about £200 give or take, depending on the one you go for, ours has 30 hours recording and that's more than enough.

Great cam. The Mino is the new one, looks sweet. I have the older model, and it still works brilliantly.
