I've been enjoying this game a lot. It's a great game, my only problem is that the main character is too much of a nice guy for somebody who used to be outlaw. It's like when he asks somebody a question and they don't answer him. He just goes "OK, but I am mighty angry at you. Sir." The game lets you play him like the man with no name, but it has no effect on the story at all. Which is kind of annoying.

I got this the other day, its beautiful to look at and its got a nice feel to the game but it is grand theft auto with horses and cowboys.

Then again I lost about 2 months of my life playing the rather brilliant and sexy fallout 3. Best game I have ever played.

Maybe my gaming experience has been spoilt playing fallout 3 because I doubt I find anything to match it, except fallout new Vegas when it comes out.

I am master of misdirection, look over there.

We are not falling out young Welshy, we are debating, I think farlsy is an idiot he thinks I am one. We are just talking about who is the bigger idiot.

I just love the 'feeling' of riding a horse using a PS3 controller!! I think it's fantastic..... and the online multiplayer is terrific (especially 'Capture The Bag'!!)

Looking forward to spending some more time with it this week....

The thing that separates it from GTA is that in the GTA series you didn't have weird random events happen every so often.

With GTA it was like your cousin constantly wants to go bowling, play darts or do other boring stuff. While in this game, I actually enjoy doing the odd stuff like Black Jack, Poker (which I am still getting the hang of, even though at times the AI cheats.) and Liars dice. I enjoy seeing random things like a dude try to kill a hooker, or somebody steal from a shop keeper. Or seeing somebody dragged across town on a rope, while the riders are shooting in the air.

All of that stuff makes the game a lot more interesting and fun than any of the GTA games. Also the Stranger Missions are just odd.

Yeah the whole world has such a great economy, ive seen wolves fighting a bear, deers running from coyotes and rabbits bounding away from foxes.

I have to admit i think that Rockstar have finally nailed the open world experience, and have created a stellar story to boot! I won't spoil anything but wait till you get to the (final) ending, it is quite unexpected and very creative!

Have any of you guys found there to be a lot of connection issues online though?

mass effect 2, fallout 3 and red dead for me...could never get on with GTAs too much stopping and starting...

what i like about the 3 i mentioned, was that they all flowed so well..kept my interest going all the way through...

i especially enjoyed in fallout 3 right near the end where you can say to someone - nah, it's alright, you can go in luv...

dragon quest thingy for the 360 was pretty damn enjoyable too...

red dead I'm enjoying at the moment, 30 hours in, near to finishing the mexico area...i like the dead eye shoot outs...one in the plums, shoot the gun out of the hand, two in the heart, one in the head...all in lovely slo-mo...
