Actually it was wine, sex and eventually theater. (Although that was the Greek god Dionysus who the romans ripped off) In fact theater as we know it stems from the bacchae worship rituals. Which is ironic seeing as how men weren't allowed to take part. So I think the whole 'Women can't be in the theater' notion was revenge for them not allowing us to take part in their drug fulled, goat killing orgies.

And it's haunting just how much I seem to resemble this particular "God"

I found this the other night and thought it would get a good chuckle.

Either way, their definitely is a God, it says so in the bible, which can't be wrong as it was written by God. And if there's no God, then who was Jesus's father?

Circular logic is still logic!

Invoke not reason. In the end it is too small a deity.

But what about all those other books of "sacred" text "written by god"? Especially the one's that seem to go contrary to the particular one you are singling out here?

I'll not go down the slamming JC route in that we do have several members here who AREN'T Atheist or Agnostic and actually profess some mode of faith... but that's just a personal matter of ethics... and in no way does it mean I won't get all hot and bothered over the book or the organization itself however...

The devil wrote them.

Okay in all honesty I realise that what I'm saying maybe upsetting to Christians, and if it is I apologise. Anyone who knows me knows that I talk utter s*** all the time. I take not being serious very seriously. I don't buy into the idea that having any kind of faith makes you stupid or morally bankrupt. Now in the original spirit of the thread (Because I think we all agree that topics like this should be kept light and in good humor) I give you this. http://www.smbc-comics.com:80/index.php ... 1104#comic
