Are you going to still do gigs while the World Cup is on? Even when England are playing? Surely it would be madness!

I have two gigs bbooked during England matches and I'm not that fussed to be honest.

They're only first round matches too.

I took a booking ages ago for one of the quarter final matches so it depends on where England finish in the group if I miss one. The others I have put aside for enjoying myself.

Did anyone else notice that after all those players said the ball was a piece of c**p (not the best)

and then the organisers have a giant dung beetle roll one around the pitch for the opening cremony.

Have you heard its now actually an offence to wear or display the England flag in public? Police have been going around taking them down and such, because apparently it is offensive to foreigners...

Except it's not actually true, it's just a load of rubbish made up by the papers. There was a story last week about how a woman was filing a complaint because a bus driver made her ten year old son get off the bus beacuse he wouldn't take off his England shirt. To make the story even more Daily Mail friendly, the bus driver was a Polish immigrant.

Anyway, after a local paper got involved and the bus company started an investigation, the woman dropped her complaint. Turns out that there were other factors involved and the whole thing involving the England shirt was (for want of a better word) fictional.

Just as every year, people try to destroy Christmas, every sporting event seems to involve the banning of the flag... except of course, it's always the same made up Bullsh*t stories every time which have very little basis in reality.

I'll be in the pub for each England game, with a pint of something nice, a bag of crisps, a bag of nuts and the sure and certain hope that we won't make a mess of it in the group stage.

And if it's dull, I shall get my tarot cards out.

In the callcentre, everyone loves the football.
Me? I love the football. Not as a sport, oh no. I dislike football. However, when the first match today started, the calls suddenly stopped...
