First there is a huge difference between performing without speaking and performing without presentation. And you are correct there was no presentation. As a result all that there was to focus on was the move itself. Which in the hands of somebody more experienced it may not be the worst thing in the world. Unfortunatly that is the not the case for you. You need some misdirection in a bad way. The steal to your pocket needs work. You will not be able to get away with it without presentation, just the awkwardness of the hand moving to the pocket gives it away.
My advise? First relax and get rid of the death grip. Second your first trip to the pocket should have a better reason then to get the box, perhaps a pen to use as a wand. Why would you put the box in your pocket if you are just going to use it again, unless of course you don't have a table, then perhaps.
Just another thought, you may want to try a gamblers cop, as it is much easier, therfore much less pressure on you, at least it is a quick fix while you get a little smoother at the other.
After posting this and taking a second look I take it all back. If your spectator is not going to sign the card, why not just use a dup? Otherwise you are just making life difficult on yourself.
There is one other interesting possibility, you are not at all doing what I think you are doing. Which is interesting only because then you are looking really suspicious doing nothing at all.
