Most with such abilities, have been raised in a household in which the extreme modes of "body bending" are a matter of tradition; from shortly after birth the mother (and often grandmother) bend and twist the child so as to maximize flexibility as the child grows and matures. Once they reach toddling age they are walked through exercises that not only sustains what was done for them in early life, but expands on it.

You can see a lot of this "discipline" in children raised with parents who do Yoga and Tai Chi on a daily basis. In this case however, I'm betting the lad has some formal ballet background tossed in for good measure, his stage presence and confidence just projects that same sort of attitude.

Quite an amazing young contortionist.
