The Benedict Box from Smoke and Mirrors

Postby DrTodd » Aug 28th, '10, 10:39

I was very pleased to receive this in early August and have since been experimenting with this.

What is it? A beautiful wooden box with a slightly domed lid that is perfect for anyone interested in doing billet work for Q n A, add a number, or any other effect such as these. The box can be shown throughout and its deviousness is unsurpassed on the market.

Other boxes such as the Chameleon Chest or the OM box suffer from certain limitations that have to be managed.I have used the Chameleon Chest for three years or so on stage in parlour settings, and I love it,but the BB has just overtaken it.

The Benedict Box is free of such constraints and can be left in the hands of the spectator. The finish is a nice light stain and the look and feel meet my requirements perfectly.

So, how do you acquire one? Have a chat with young Harris on this forum and she will put you in the know!

Top stuff from one of our own.

Best wishes

Todd

Indeed and to clarify,I have been looking for a more hands off prop than either of the two I mention in the review and this design does the business. The only one out there costs 600 USD.

Harris' box really is the business. I've seen it used, examined it, and still didn't know how it worked until it was explained. I call that very good design.

Thanks for the kind (but very accurate haha) words Tomo. I think the highlight was a certain little magic heckler still not 'seeing' it even after it was explained to him lol.

I checked it's just the pop up from here my browser doesn't like. Copied and pasted the link and it was fine. I'm liking the hate-he box. And since I'm out of halls with sprinkler systems smoke is no longer an issue. We should have a chat at some point. I've got a few ideas in the works.
