The 3 Card monte is a classic effect but what makes it great is that it can ALL be examined Afterwards. The trick is pretty easy to perform if an experienced card magician and consists of 2 easy sleights. The trick can be done with a story line about someone doing the trick on you or you can do it on someone as in the story.
It baffles the audience as they think you have got about 5 cards up your sleeve and has a suprise ending.

Rating: 9/10 for the effect it creates.

I would'nt buy this trick again because once you know how its done you can do it with any three cards. But in all its a great trick.

I learned new routines with the 3 Card monte, And using other cards in its place.
It fooled many people once I mastered double lifting.

And Yes overall it is a pretty great trick.

Especially if you are from a small town like me.

This deck has also given me hints on how to be great at double lifting with a whole deck.

So I advise, If you havent tryed The 3 Card Monte yet, try it out to help you double lifting skills.

This thread should be called 'Colour Monte' which already has been started by K S Chada on 6th June '01. It's a great trick.
Three Card Monte is a different effect altogether and can involve either gaffed or non gaffed cards.

Be careful as that is very, very illegal.

Teachers have seen me and know that I'm winning, they dont seem to have any problem with it.
