What can YOUR wallet contain and perform?

Postby Eshly » Sep 12th, '10, 00:10

Inside my (ungimmicked!) wallet I have several effects:

Beyond ESP 2
Banachek ESP opener
Heirloom Redux

What can you perform with your wallet and it's contents?

Admittedly I have a Stealth Assassin wallet but 95% of the time I use it as a regular wallet, which means that everyone just sees it as just being "Sean's Walet"...

However, there's enough ammo in there for a full 45 min set (if you ever felt the need!). I tend to just cherry pick effects as the situation demands but there's the scope for all manner of mind reading, demonstrations of mental suggestion, CTW's and Out to lunch type effects.

I also carry a stack of business cards in there, along with my truty 'Colour Monte' cards, in case folks want something cheap and cheery and not too 'mental' :)

Seconded. I also have an SAW for everyday use. It contains business cards and a 50% version of KK.

When you say 50% I presume you mean the 8 envelope version?

I prefer Heirloom Redux (which I invented entierly myself only to realise that
Mark Elsdon beat me to it) as it's a nice balance between the extremely deceptive "On the Mark" and "Kollosal Killer".

All I carry in my wallet at all times is 2 of the same card and one indifferent card bee backed for three card monte.

I am master of misdirection, look over there.

We are not falling out young Welshy, we are debating, I think farlsy is an idiot he thinks I am one. We are just talking about who is the bigger idiot.

my wallet doesnt do anything...and too much onus on the wallet will increase the suspiscion upon it...

everything that fits in there should already be there naturally with one or two exceptions...after my long wallet fetish (3 years or so), of trying pretty much all of them...i found i dont want any of them...thats why i had the fetish i think? searching for something that i couldnt quite define...and thats why none of them were ever satisfying...

and i've gone back to the SUC II, and more recently, the zap wallet, and cut out a part of it...

if i want to switch envelopes, i can do it by other means, if i want to have a multi-out, i have my own index system that i made/created myself (no funy folded up papers, just one sealed up/folded post-it note strip) that can fit anywhere...

realistically, all i ever needed from a wallet type device, was something to PW/NW/peek...

I've got an unfeasibly big wallet and I couldn't fit a Beyond ESP deck in it! Just what size is your wallet, Eshly?

What I do have in it -- for magic purposes -- is Sanctum, Kioku (which I *still* insist on calling Kuoni), and the three cards from Paul Carnazzo that I got for my birthday (Test Conditions, Symbolism, and Animania). I've always got a pen and paper on me. And I often slip the deck of Flash Cards in my jacket pocket.

Everything else in there is strictly personal. It's not any kind of trick wallet, just a badly overstuffed one of these:

My wallet is entirely ungimmicked and yet spectacular - no matter how often or how much money I put in it, every time I open it it's empty.

Pretty much the opposite of what a magician should be capable of...

What can my wallet perform? It can do "Sit!" and "Stay!" rather well

Next week I'm going to teach it a few simple card sleights to see how well it does. But as it has no hands, it might be a little difficult

My wallet can do a pretty good disappearing act too... usually just before I'm rushing out the door, you can find me shouting at the wife "Have you seen my bloody wallet??"

I swear it's never where I left it in the first place....

Ungimmicked (£5 from Argos), contains my business cards allowing me to perform an endless amount of readings, Q&A routines, drawing dups etc ad infinitum. Essentially any billet work and a few things beside. What else could you possibly want?

Oh, if I'm off to certain public houses a few dup bikes, some signed.

Hmm - let's see....

Inside my trusty Blacks CTW (which I use for everyday stuff, and have for some months now), I currently have:

Sanctum 2

Test Conditions

Animania

Symbolism

Sleuth

...Everything for a really dynamite paperclipped card to zippered wallet pocket, plus a selection of 10-12 mental miracles :D

I second the large gasp of amazement at Eshley carring around a Beyond ESP 2 deck in his wallet - that must be a HUUUGE beastie of a wallet
