Just an update - I rang my bank today to see what was happening etc, etc ...... just been told it can take up to 180 days (yes u read that right!!) before I get my money back.

Luckily I'm not in dire need of the dosh - but to some ppl it could be the difference of going overdrawn or not

.... up to 6 months before I get my dosh back ..... sheesh

I notice that you're from the same neck of the woods as me, and if memory serves we did have some issues with skimmers being installed at several of the major supermarkets atms and a couple of the banks' outdoor atms here in Burnley about 12 months ago - now, as daleshrimpton pointed out, if it were me I'd be holding on to the data for a while before using/selling it - probably completely unconnected but just a thought........

Shaun - I honestly can't remember the last time I used an ATM .... in fact I might have never used one with this bank .... I'm a window cleaner and I deal in cash so I never need to withdraw any .....

Jeez - how quick was that .......

..... just logged on to my bank account and all the money has been refunded in full - it was actually refunded on the 1st of October ..... not bad seeing how I didn't inform them of the dodgy transactions until 20th September ...... 11 days from start to finish - I'm well impressed .

There was no paper work for you to fill out? no investigation? You just told them of the problem and it was refunded that quickly? Hmm, I know on this side of the pond that smells like somebody at the bank made a banking error with your account. For a bank to complete a fraud investigation that fast is, well it just ain't normal.

When I initially rang and informed them - I was under the impression that they were going to send forms out to me. When nothing arrived, I rang them again and they told me that the investigation had already begun and they would only contact me if they needed more info.
The next thing - my money was back in my account - 11 days from me initially contacting them to the money going back into my account .
