Lybrary.com's 1/8"/3mm/R3 Corner Rounder
http://www.lybrary.com/corner-rounder-p-33513.html

Cost:
$30 USD + s/h I don't remember the charge of shipping but it was basically the cost of postage. No gouging on the "handling fee". It was shipped damn fast too.

From the site:
"This is a rugged heavy duty hand-held corner rounder that produces corners with a radius of 1/8" (3 mm) - the perfect rounding for playing cards as well as other cards like plastic ID cards or business cards. The best part of it is that it can cut up to five playing cards at the same time. This significantly cuts down your work if you are making lots of cards.

It is also the ideal tool to round corners for cards that have been shortened as for the preparation of a Svengali pack or a simple short card.

It has a V-shaped guide where a corner is inserted. One squeeze with your hand and a perfectly rounded card corner is created. Lots of materials can be cut with this cutter from simple paper to cardboard and even plastic up to a thickness of 2 mm.

I challenge everybody to find a cheaper 1/8" corner rounder. I searched for months, contacted half a dozen manufacturers until I found this tool. Similar products can be found on other websites for much higher prices. Own an essential tool for the DIY card maker."

Review:
I accept your challenge, Lybrary.com The Fiesta corner rounder that I reviewed here: http://www.talkmagic.co.uk/ftopic36811.php cost about $7 shipped. It does just as good of a job.

I purchased the Lybrary.com rounder* in hopes of it being able to round the corners on cards whose corners are not at a 90 degree angle, like that of the Stripper deck. Unfortunately they will not do so. They will however leave grease on your cards. I had to disassemble the housing and clean them.

This corner rounder makes perfect corners on cards that are cut to 90 degree right angles. The advantage to this unit over the Fiesta is that the Fiesta is only able to do one card at a time whereas this unit can do three.

IMO, save your money and buy the Fiesta for your corner rounding needs.

*Lybrary.com doesn't actually manufacture the rounder. It's a generic Chinese product that doesn't have a brand name. You can find the same rounders on eBay from various companies usually located in China. Lybrary.com just resales them.

Great review.

It seems impossible to get a 3mm corner rounder/cutter/punch in the UK. It's easy to get 5mm, but that's way too big. I've searched and searched. If anyone can find one, do let me know?

Of course, I can order one from the US, but maybe pay a fortune, then have to wait in all day so that I can pay the postman the Import Tax... And of course you can't do that when you don't know what day it will arrive!

*sigh*

Update!

I searched on ebay before posting and couldn't find any. Have searched before and failed. But immediately after posting this post, I found one. A seller called Cute & Crafty are selling them for just a three quid. I haven't tried it as have just bought it but they're here:

I'm posting this with the assumption that I'm not the only person in the UK who needs to 'cut corners'. I hope it's useful.

By the way, I bought one from Bond Agency/ Cards 4 Magic a while back. On the website it says:

24 - Corner Rounder
Pocket device for making the perfect corner on a playing card.
Price: £7.50

It actually cuts a corner of about 5mm or 6mm, way, way too big. Even for maging a 'short corner' it's a bit too big.

I purchased the same rounder that Cute'n'Crafty has listed in their eBay store and linked the review that I did here in the first post of this thread. It works just as good as the $30+ unit for rounding squared corners.

I have yet to find a rounder in the 3mm size that is capable of doing corners that do not form a 90 degree angle. It's pissing me off. I'm using baby fingernail clippers at the moment and it takes forever and a damn day.

Ah, I missed that! Well, that would have saved me tearing my hair out, but I didn't see it.

I'm glad this corner cutter will work.

I hope you find what you're looking for, .robb..
