Familiar Move?

Postby sleightlycrazy » Oct 8th, '10, 09:14

Recently, I was playing with different ways of returning selected cards to the deck when I came upon a neat idea. I can take the card and put it in a fan and tap it into the fan at a (very) slight angle then close the fan in the clockwise direction (same as a one-handed fan close). This makes the cards be a bit of a mess-- so it will require squaring-- but also has the selected card in the perfect position to palm with the diagonal palm shift ALA Erdnase (with practice, I can consistently get the card to be at just the correct jog angle). The squaring action becomes completely justified and the position after the move is perfect for a Derren-esque card under box.

Has this move/idea already been done before? I'm just wondering for my own knowledge.

Sounds almost the same as the Derren-esque card under box. Nice to see it evolve to suit people though.

I removed the Tamariz aspect of it though. I feel it's more natural to not have to spread the deck.

[edit] I concede, it's too similar to be worth noting. I'll go back to playing now...
