Tonight at 9pm, BBC4 start a series called A History of Horror, with Mark Gatiss.. Folowing this, is Bride of Frankenstein.

I shall be glued to this since the house of Hammer, Bray Studios, is just down the road, and most of them used local places as their background.

Thanks Dale, I'll be watching . Talking about Frankenstein, there is a Universal box set there aswell, I'll have to save for that one though. Universal, Hammer and Amicus have made some of my favourite films, full of atmosphere that seems to be lacking in the modern horrors.

I was going to post a heads up, but the Radio Times has published the review of The Inbetweeners for A History of Horror.

I was surprised they still had that, was good to see. The head he used to practice on was a surprise too, never heard of that before, although it does make sense.

Well that was rather good . The picture of a dead Lugosi was a bit shocking though, but otherwise it was very interesting. I wonder if Tom Lauten was watching.

Really enjoyed the documentary. I was expecting just a clips compilation, but there were some really interesting interviews. Looking forward to next weeks on hammer with brides of Dracula after.
