The running forum I post on uses this idea to post up what at events members will be running at. Lets see if the same idea can work here.

If you're doing a show or gig that you'd like us all to know about so we can come and watch you, post it up here. Date, time, location, contact details and a quick description of the show. Example....

10 July 2011, 6pm @ the Wobbly Hall Theatre. The Great Zimbamzazimam presents an enchanting evening of pulling rabbits out of hats and sawing people in half.

Copy and past all the dates in the last post into your post and then add in your event, lets try to keep things in data order. You can delete any shows that have passed if you like. Hope that makes sense?

So come on and don't be shy, I know there are a few of you with events coming up.... :D

I like this idea - it might work better in another format, maybe like an actual calendar with boxes, that you can edit and add an event too - therby avoiding the copying and pasting, and being able to see all the upcoming events in a clear format.
Not sure how that would tie in with the forum though.

I love this idea, and when I have news of gigs I will be posting in the manner you suggested. It could be a great addition to the site.
