I'd like to thank everyone who has posted it has been a real help and will allow the design process to proceed soon.

I am fascinated, how do the questions you asked help you define a design? Does the amount of time you have been in magic make you go with a horiz or vert nav? If you are a guy do you prefer HTML5 compliancy?

Can you talk us through why you chose those questions to make a design on design and usability?

It was mainly for usability, such as determining the user base and trying to make the design fit their needs such as how large text should be, what kind of colours and how it is navigated. Although as you say, not all of the questions will hugely influence design.

If you don't do research about a target audience then you don't know how you should make it look, work, and what language to use. That's web design 101 right there, I hope you're taking notes

And a site will never be HTML5 compliant. Just sayin'....
