New venture ...

Postby Harris » Oct 15th, '10, 15:09

Hello !!

Well now that Smoke and Mirrors UK has been up n running for a few months, a strange opportunity came our way.

A friend of a friend (ya get the idea) was selling their magic street traders stall.

Sooooo one for all you mentalists .... guess who now owns a magic stall on Canterbury high street ?

I feel slightly sick ... it has ropes and sponge balls and all sorts of normal magiciany things ewww !! lol...

Seriously though, give us a month or so to clear out the junk and we shall have a nice shindig down here to celebrate !! Ya might even get to watch hubby do his show across the way ! lol

E .. now the rather ominous owner of Savvy Magic !!

(ps we inherited the name ! lol although hubby is currently loving his 'savvy' hoodie lol)

So, stacks of burned doll's heads and boxes containing monkey paws then! The shoppers won't know what's hit 'em. :)

I know that guy! I had a bit of a 'sponge ball off' with him about 6 months ago. :D

Good luck with it, next time I'm working in Canterbury I'll pop by and say hi.

Well done Evie, sounds like a really great opportunity.

Good luck with it all, does this mean we will soon be seeing Brain Boxes for sale on the street?

congrats.

serious time here.. Magic stalls are only as good as the pitchman, or grafter demming. loud voice, and bags of personality are an absolute must. Like what i have got.

But alas I'm not in the area. :)

see if Edd wood can help, or advise. Hes the owner of magicwoods.
And has several buisenesses in Canterbury.

Ah Dale, alas I am the organ grinder in this venture, not the monkey !! The monkey has been out on the streets performing for years !

At the end of the day, disparage all you like folks lol ... Its a chuckle and I dont care !

Smoke n Mirrors is my baby and will come first, this just keeps hubby out of my hair lol..

Thanks Iain, I think ? ...

I can't wait for the first complaint of "witchcraft going on in broad daylight!" from a rabid Daily Mail reader. :D

Hi,
I live in Canterbury and am always dodging the Chuggers in the high street but can't say I have ever seen you. What days do you do ?

Well Canterbury does have a good history of martyrs. A witch burning would be fitting. Best of luck Evie. Certainly going to be keeping busy.

Congrats and I sincerely hope it all goes well. Not so much a bricks and mortar shop, more like a wood and screws job. We shall expect regular Canterbury Tales and perhaps one or two TMers can make the pilgrimage to see you guys in action and give us a Review!!
