Floating Rose tip???

Postby raptorjohn09 » Oct 18th, '10, 22:04

Hi, I am new here, so I hope I dont reveal too much with my question :)

Its been a while since I tried this one, I kind of gave up on it a few years back. I got some flash paper the other day and decided to try it again this time using the internet to research some tips on it. The main problems I have is when I make the rose, getting it to stay on the thread, whenever i wrap it around and try to levitate it, it either falls off the thread or ends up upside down when it "rises', and also when I try to levitate the rose it always falls right against my body, so when I go to light it to produce a real one its really close to me and I do not feel comfortable lighting it, every performance I watch the rose hangs pretty far out away from the body.

I have the Kevin James video but it got lost in my move from NY to OH..but even when I used the video these were the 2 things I had the main problems with.

Any help would be greatly apprecited, please PM me if you can help. Thank you!

Should probably pop into introductions before asking for something like that, unfortunately I couldn't help anyway ... :(

The Floating Rose is a tough trick...I tried it years ago but found it very risky. It looks fab when Kevin James does it.

If you are asking a question like this, you probably need to watch the entire DVD again. I would recommend that you buy the DVD again because if you can get the routine right it will pay dividends and the cost of buying the DVD will be well worth it.
