Hi there gang ...

i recently purchased a number of Joe Fullman's magic books.

While a lot of the material seems decent enough for an introduction, some of the "tricks" just don't wanna "add up".

e.g. The first two "counting" card tricks he offers in "The Great Big Book of Magic Tricks" ( also appearing in his "Card Tricks Handbook" ) are entitled "ABRACADABRA", and "PRESTO".

Am i the only who has done their best to follow the instructions he gives, but still fails to make the "magic" happen?

What gives?

UPDATE:

i finally got em' worked out!

CAVEAT EMPTOR ( i.e. Fullman's explanations of these introductory tricks were lacking critical details ).
