Just wondered if anyone had read this book....? I drive a lot and, to while away the hourse on the motorways, listen to a lot of audiobooks. This one piqued my interest.....

Basically the plot runs thus:

"What would you do if a mysterious letter arrived and the contents indicated that the writer knew of your secret history and could identify a number that he asks you to randomly pick right then. And voila! The number in the second envelope is exactly the wild, random number you picked out of 1000. Your number is 658; the number in the second envelope is 658. How in the world could this be....!!?"

Now, I should point out, at this point, I have no idea if the method used is magically-related or not (and I don't really care either way!) but it certainly got me thinking of ways to do this for real!!

In any case, the book seems to rattle along at a great pace and, whilst it won't win any Pulitzers, it'll keep me company on the M40 for the next couple of weeks at least!

Anyone else read it.....?
