Some of those have already been reviewed, or at least commented on. Try using the search function or looking on the review index in the reviews section.

To be honest, I think that the final word in many of the Ellusionist videos is that, whilst they are quite good, you can get better value for money with some of the other basic videos that you can get from most magic stores online.

May I suggest that you purchase "Wonder Words" by Kenton Knepper. Something that you can immediately put to use is the explanation that wants are not always met, but needs are. In other words, when trying to get someone to do something, don't phrase it, "I want..." phrase it, "I need..." because people are more apt to respond positively to a need.

Mike.

Dear POB,

What the others are trying to politely tell you is that, so far, you have just two original posts on this forum and both begin with the words, 'I want'. Now this is fine up to a certain extent and we're generally a helpful bunch of assorted Magicians, ranging from highly skilled professionals to ragbag amateurs such as yours truly and we are all capable and willing to help a fellow Magician but:

a) We would appreciate it if you introduced yourself properly first - age, background, location etc are all very significant when we're asked for help.
b) Used the magic words of 'please' and 'thank you' as and when appropriate.
c) Used full words rather than abbreviations as it's far easier for the rest of us to read and understand.
d) If English isn't your first language then we can still try and help but your short messages don't do anything useful.

I hope that explains why you aren't being showered with instant answers - please try again and we'll see what we can do for you although at this stage we can promise nothing immediately revealing.

Mandrake

Well, it isn't a requirement that people include this information it's just polite that members introduce themselves before making requests of us. We can't and won't insist that any members tell us anything about themselves.

true but when i asked people no one was offended by my suggestion and all added something to there profile, even the i wants.
perhaps i should just start up again and see what happens without hogging the search database

I believe there is a gentle hint that an introduction plus a few more details in the profile would be apprecietaed and this was to be sent as part of the welcome message but I'm not sure if the Forum problems have now stopped this or if it ever got started. Let's get clarification on this before doing much more.
