Cardshark by Darwin Ortiz

Hi Guys,

I was wondering if anybody knew of anywhere I could get a copy? Or knew if it is in print/ going to be back in print?

I've been looking around the web but not really been able to find anything.

Thanks!

I got my copy from Davenports about 6 months ago.

They had really screwed me over before and when I purchased Card Shark, they had a signed copy for £100 and a normal version for £35. I went for the non-signed version. Got home and they must have mixed them up because I had the hand signed version. Karma eh?

I know Michael Vincent, who is a student of Darwin, sells them. No idea if he has any in stock. If not, give him an email and I'm sure he'll be able to source one.

Oops, I apologise. I didn't realise they were being sold for £250! If you really can't find one, try the DVD set that is under the same title, it's just the video version.

Not quite. There's a lot of stuff that is in the book that is not on any of the DVD's (e.g. Time Piece - one of the stand-out routines of the book).

Indeed. But it's hard to source the book and if you can, it's very expensive. Just an alternative option.

Cheers guys- it's really the book I'm after as I find it a lot easier to learn from a book than a dvd.

I think I won't go for the £250 book though as it'll end up costing me a lot more when the wife finds out and files for a divorce! :)

There seem to be two available in Sweden, from Gay Ljungberg's Gycklaren.

I actually bought my copy in England, but I can't remember where. Perhaps in Blackpool a few years ago.

The price is 450 SEK, which is roughly £42, plus P&P.

They also carry Strong Magic for same price and Designing Miracles for about £47, both by Darwin Ortiz. :D

Gunnar- thanks for that link.

I've ordered it now, so am looking forward to working my way through it!

Was £55 in all, which isn't *too* bad. Well, it's better than the £250 one from Michael Vincents site anyway!

After having the book for about 5 years I can honestly say that the material contained within is worth paying up to £100 for. Getting a copy for £55 is an absolute score. I've said it before on these boards, and I'll say it again - do not pass over the 'Time Piece' routine. I was able to secure the necessary materials from a certian well-known auction website for as little as 99 cents. I think it will be a long time before I find another closer that is as strong.

Fantastic- including postage (the cheapest option, which is still 1st class) it came to $51.92, or £33!

Happy days!

Update- Knew it was too good to be true, they're out of stock!
