Hi,

I was wondering does anyone care to mention their favourite Video/DVD's in Mentalism. I suppose the usual suspects will always be in the top 3, ie Banachek, Max Maven and Richard Osterlind.
Does anyone have any other suggestions/favourites?

Do you mean instructional or performance-based?
I imagine you're asking for favourites because you want to buy some good ones. The Reviews section would be a good place to start.

Mind Mysteries Vol 1. Actually my entire show minus 2 or 3 pieces (out of 7) is from Osterlind's 7 DVD set, get them and you'll never need anything else. I have noticed a lot of ideas that came out after that are seen as 'amazing' and yet present on these DVD's Osterlind put out 5,6 or more years before.

Max Maven's Nothing is probably my favourite, not just for the effects themselves, but also for the long discussion of all the effects and the walkthrough of the whole routine from the "inside" point of view.

Docc Hilford's Monster Mentalism series is excellent and inspirational, since it demonstrates how classic effects can be tweaked and recast and brought up to date in different ways.
