Metal bending

Postby Edantes » Jan 19th, '11, 20:57

I've been ruinig my parent's cutlery for about three years now but I've only ever used methods that I've come up with myself (albeit later found out had been published by people like James Randi)

I was simply wondering what other people's favorite methods of spoon/key/coin bending are?

My favorite method probably is one where i bend it from the palm of my hand, because it's angle-proof. i guess its kinda like one Richard Osterlind does from the palm.
i also like to do a standard bend, but holding the spoon at the bowl, so the handle bends instead of the bowl, its a lot more visual that way.
for forks i like to do a 4 tine bend, where i rotate the fork so all the tines seem to move away from each other, looks great.

don't really do coins right now, but if i would, I'd do it in a Pseudo-hypnosis context where their fingers become strong as steel and they bend the coin. really more a presentation than a method, but makes it much stronger i think.

I prefer to mix and match, for coins I use Spelmanns moves, as they are visual, same with Osterlind and Spoons.

Banacheks stuff is great but not as fast and visual as I'd like.
