I am a performing mentalist but I have a huge respect and crush on all things magic.

I hate to tell you this but mentalism is actually a branch of magic no matter what various daft "mentalists" think. Virtually every mentalism TRICK is sold in a magic shop. Even the books on mentalism can only be purchased from magid dealers.
Mentalists are doing tricks and they are just as much magicians as the fellow doing Run Rabbit Run. I hope they are not too traumatised on hearing this.
I of course am a real psychic and that of course is an entirely different matter.
