The Daryl gimmick does not require the rope and i've just dusted off mine and the card can be inserted within a given range of the deck.
Though I think the point of the ACR is that the card is going in the middle of the deck anyway :wink:

Your right about it going into the middle...

....the advantage of my version the spectator can place it.....you instruct they push it in the middle....but even if they go higher or lower it`ll still work as the deck will allow it. Any where with in say 40 cards.

My version seems like a similar idea to his deck but only slightly different.

With Daryl's you can let the spectator put the card in the deck - it's just not how Daryl performs it.
