A seance should never be treated as a trick (please don't think i am being rude). It is something you need to take very seriously, making it into a trick loses a lot of the impact and is not a good idea. If you really are interested in creating a seance then i suggest checking out the books from Paul above! This is how i run my seances and people are loving them.

A bit of editing seemed appropriate - so I did it!

Wot Stephen said.

Read Paul's books and if this kind of performance doesn't suit your style, leave it alone. Plus, the devil will take your soul.

On the Collected Secrets of Lubor Feidler DVD there is a trick called "Spooky Glasses".

I think it's modus would work well with your Ouija Board provided you have a glass planchette?

Hope that helps?

Are seances by magician sold as a real phenomena or is it made clear that trickery is involved? This is something I'm really interested in.

Kind regards
Sean

I will not 'contact' relatives as that is a big no no!. I have a carefully written script about a murdered victorian gentlemen that is meant to haunt my area (this is a true legend but i adapted it). When i work outside my area i have other versions. I never say if it is real or not, they make their own minds up.

Miniolo, you asked for help, but haven't acknowledged it any of our responses have been helpful? Have you discovered a method on you own?

Just wondering?

Get "The Talking Board" by Jim Magus it will give you a ton of bits to do with the board.

Paul's book will give you some solid ideas but if you are looking at doing a full OUIJA styled Seance I'd suggest you do some research as to what was actually done; by today's standards they were exceptionally drawn out and "boring"

Check out this site (be prepared to spend a few days)
