Glue on coinvexed

Postby kolm » Mar 13th, '11, 22:44

My Coinvexed "fell apart" last night, one of the things came off

Does anyone know if it's ok to just superglue it back on again? Or do I need the glue dots that were provided?

Superglue should be fine although it is permanent so if coins ever changed design/shape or you went abroad then you could see a problem. Glue dots are available in WHSmiths & Staples for a couple of quid. To be honest no one ever sees my gimmick/coins.

I don't see how a coinvexed can fall apart, but it worries me that they can as it's my favorite tool. Could you P.M me with more details about what happened?

Also you could probably contact David Penn to find out whats best.

I assume you have Coinvexed 2? You wouldn't need the glue for that. Coinvexed one makes use of glue dots in order to conseal the gimmick in a handful of coins & I would argue superior to the sequel.

Well you might want to see if anyone here brought coinvexed 1 and then upgraded, they should have a spare part lying around.

If not and you can't fix it get the guy who broke it to buy you a new one those things aren't cheap.

Nah, it can be glued back on again, the main device is still good. I'm just after suggestions for the best glue to buy :)

And it was a genuine mistake, so all's cool:)

I'm sorry, forgot to reply to this! It's coinvexed 1 and yes it's the conceal that's come off :)

Might get some araldyte, as that's what was originally used :)
