HELP! DECK EFFECT - THREADED PORTION OF CARDS?! ELLUSIONIST?

Postby SuperDan123 » Mar 20th, '11, 14:37

During my most recent magic clear up I came across a deck of Black Tigers that had a portion of 15 cards or so threaded together.. I've been tearing my hair out trying to figure out the name of the deck; the effect which was to do with a number of specific cards being 'loaded' in to the threaded packet which were then switched in a pivot type motion with inconspicuous cards..

I've contacted Ellusionist regarding the matter as I assumed they'd have the answer due to the deck being a Black Tiger deck.. But my faith proved to be to no avail as I received a brief 'we know the effect but can't remember the name, sorry'..

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!

Thanks! 8)[/b][/i]

The `15 cards being threaded together` sounds like the Black Tigar Rising Deck where one or more cards are selected, mixed into the packet then one by one rise out from the deck by themselves.

I'm not sure if this is the effect you are looking for. But If it is black tigar, I assume Ellusionist makes the cards, and the Rising Deck is the only gimmick deck made by Ellusionist that uses cards threaded together and that I know of.

Other decks made by Ellusionist in Black Tigar style include:

    ID,
    Rising Deck,
    Forcing Deck,
    Stripper Deck,
    Svengali Deck,
    Gaff Deck,
    Hummer Card,
    Mini Deck,
    HoverCard Deck,

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply; the rising deck relies on a gimmick that doesn't allow for cards to be inserted in between threaded portion of cards.. If my memory serves me correctly.. Plus; the deck was specifically designed for the change effect; whereas the rising deck is aimed towards a single card rising out of the deck..

Is there any website that has a list of the entire Bicycle deck range both passed and present which have been gimmicked in some way?
