First sponge ball routine...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j2EBO00v7Pc

Really interested in hearing feedback. Bit rough in parts and I made a couple of smaller errors but would love thoughts.

Additional jokes and improvements to patter also welcome!

Cheers,
Alex

I think you did very well if this is your first sponge ball performance. Yes it was a little rough around the edges and perhaps it could have been more smooth especially in the ball collections but the important thing is that the audience in front of you were impressed.

Nice routine!
One comment I may make is when you make the ball appear in the the specs hand the first time, perhaps it would be better to have the ball on the table, do the transfer (the motivation being that you want to use the hand to pick up the ball, so you put the ball it already holds into the other hand ) and pick up the other, loading it straight into the spectators hand. It gives you a reason to make the transfer and load, rather than just grabbing the ball in the specs hand for now apparent reason.
Just a very subtle little thing I would have done (which is probably no better, Ive not performed my routine at all yet  ).

Absolutely agree about the loading, needs to be taken from a table and then loaded in the hand.

Is this the right section for this? What happened to the video section?

Yeah it should probably be in "the forum of visual curiositys'' I think its called :?
Also, what if you are asked to entertain a group and there are children around? That rules out your current finale. Perhaps if you are going to perform for family audiences in future it might be best to use a sponge word or something in place of the ding dong?
I suppose it all depends on target audience. :)
