Postby FRK » Apr 27th, '11, 22:48

Well almost impossible...

I shuffled a deck of mixed cards, dealt out 4 hands to play Old maid... and dealt myself A12345678910JQK....

Now whats the chances of that...

This was going to be my point. Therefore making the chances pretty slim.

However, assuming the 1 is a typo woudl you like to actually know the chances?

But you also need to check whether they were just the cards or the order as well ;)

Indeed.
And if they were all the same suit.

And... how to play old maid might help. Certainly if a hand doesn't include 13 cards. Which reduces the level of maths involved quite a bit.

It would be a bit harder from a one-way forcing deck.

Your reality, sir, is lies and balderdash, and I'm delighted to say that I have no grasp of it whatsoever.
