Yes I'm back - but going for the close-up comp on Saturday (Not entering).

Had a very nice day -

Had an hour long chat with Wayne Dobson He has just toured with Joe Pasquale - he has designed some very nice effects that he does with one hand - Plus I have got his DVD which includes his London Palanium show.

Fay Presto is still organising the alternative show which is always worth a visit.

She has resigned from the Circle -

Spent a fortune.

Appearing cane - steel
2 wiregrams
Sparkle for finger flasher
Finger flasher - new type
Footprints - an ID routine from Alan Astra
Silks
Snow - for Stowstorm in China
Throw streamers
one dollar coins - Eisenhour <sp> Eagles
Nice Bunny in hat badge for my jacket. Awww

And most of these were just to replace stuff.

It's Great to have all those dealers in one place.

Anyone going to be there on Saturday?

for those interested, here are the results, Via ukmagic...

Stage Competition
1st (£1000) Safire (sic) - pretty unanimous result with a great,
entertaining illusion act finishing with a very fast transparent sub-trunk.

2nd (£500) + Originality - Viva well put together illusion act with
hair-salon theme

3rd (£250) Mark Shortland - Excellent opening act with some very funny and
original sight gags that I won't describe or they will be nicked, finishing
with a very funny 'Bullet catch' using a toy gun that fired plastic discs.

Manipulation - Kohei Kobayashi very original manip act the main feature
being a sort of ball and paper-cone routine.

Close-Up Competition
1st (£1000) Mel Harvey very fast moving act with countless gags and very
funny 'bits of business'

2nd (£500) Kevin Gallagher 'magic for magicians' concept act (with plans if
I can f**ing perform it properly!).

3rd (Steve Dela) Some excellent card work and superbly executed cups and
balls routine to music. Steve also did very well in the stage competition
and has a very good unassuming attitude - he is 17 next week!!!
