Box of Delights Seance Kit by UYD

Postby Stephen Ward » May 27th, '11, 10:33

The Effect

You get a selection of items to use with your seance. There is also an effect included called 'Dead Ringers'. A small black envelope is placed on the table and guarded by a spectator. You lay out a set of small, aged pictures of men and women. A very fair selection process is conducted either by a single person or the whole group. The final selection is taken and when the envelope is opened the contents is an exact duplicate of the freely selected photograph.

Cost

£29.99

Difficulty
(1=easy to do, 2=No sleights, but not so easy, 3=Some sleights used,
4=Advanced sleights used, 5=Suitable for experienced magicians only)

The Dead Ringers effect is so easy to do. The seance element just needs practice and confidence.

Review

This is simply lovely. I received this as an early birthday present and i am delighted with it. The contents of the kit include:

A lovely box that looks old and smells it! Yes, the whole package stinks (but in a good way ).

2 Protection bottles with special qualities.

1 Bottle of Blood (these bottles look lovely)

1 Special pentagram and planchett

1 set of mini letter cards including Yes and No. These are aged

All the pictures needed for Dead Ringers.

The whole thing is just lovely and i will be proud to use this both for fun and in formal shows. The box sits nicely next to my mini seance kit from Smoke & Mirrors. At this price you really cannot go wrong. I just tested everything and it all works perfectly.

I give this my highest recommendation!

Overall

10/10 from me! Great price for a lovely kit

Simon from UYD will be away for a few days so if he does not respond to questions do not worry.

That really does look stupidly underpriced.

Not only are Simon's products superb, they are incredible value for money.
I don't know how he does it, but full credit to UYD.

Simon is one of the nicest chaps in magic. His service is second to none and the products are superb. What with Lebanon Circle, Black Hart, Smoke and Mirrors and now UYD, the UK is certainly becoming the leaders in the market for dark magic props!!

Hi Guys, thanks for the review, very kind of you for all the comments. Dave I have sent an email to you, I guess you have it now. As I am away from the office/workshop for a few days my net access will be sporadic, if you have a query my details are on the website and you can email or call me it should be directed to my phone..I will answer as soon as I can, as accessing the forum may prove impossible.
The bizarre producers in the UK are growing and that has to be good for magic, let us not forget the genius that is Chris Gould at Alchemy Moon, he has some of the most wonderful ideas, and he has helped me with some amazing art work.
Till the next time I get a connection...regards and thank you.
Simon

Yup I got it! Was just letting people know that you'll be replying infrequently for the moment.

I hadn't visited the UYD website for a while. I definitely be ordering more stuff now I have seen what else is available.

Mine has arrived today and I'm delighted with it.
The ageing has been done to perfection and the props look authentic and will mingle in proudly with the rest of my kit.

Incredible value for money and top notch service.
Full marks from me for the quality, service and astounding value for money.
These are props that will be used in my seance shows.

It smells fabulous!
I always scent my seance/bizarre props so it's great to have the job done for me.
This really is an impressive kit, great looking aged props which will be used. The Dead Ringer effect is excellent though I had guessed the method beforehand. The aged photos are excellent and this would be a great precursor to any seance. (I believe a similar thing was used in Derren's seance - now I've said that, all the "I'm using NLP geeks will be rushing to buy one!).

Simon has done himself proud here and all for an incredible price. I can't wait to see what he has coming up next.
