Paul Voodini Lecture

Postby Mandrake » May 28th, '11, 10:13

Courtesy of www.magicweek.co.uk:
Paul Voodini lecture, Liverpool, Thursday 2nd June at 8pm prompt. Paul describes himself as a mentalist. However for the past 10 years he has worked almost exclusively within the "shut eye" paranormal industry. He has worked closely with some of the UK's best known celebrity mediums and has been taught "from the horse's mouth" the techniques and tricks of the trade employed by this most secretive industry. Paul now presents this invaluable information to the magic and mentalist community for their entertainment and education, in the hope that the techniques he presents can be utilised within a magic environment. Venue: The Crown Inn, Leyfield Road L12 9HA www.liverpoolmagiccircle.co.uk.

Any chance Mr. Voodini can use his paranormal powers to transport The Crown Inn to New York?

Very jealous - I'm sure it will be a great lecture.

In all seriousness, get me a venue in New York and I'm on the next flight over! :D

Great Lecture

Postby WarpedMagic » Jun 3rd, '11, 00:32

I would just like to say well done to Paul Voodini for a great Lecture in Liverpool Yesterday.

If ever Paul is lecturing near you i would highly recommend for anyone to go along to get an insight into something different. Paul makes a lot of very good points and its true in how much you can use a few simple tricks and have the spectators lined up waiting to be next!

I was one of the slow ones to get to Paul at the end to get a hold of his books before they sold out. So it just goes to show how popular the lecture was and how much we all wanted to give it a try. I will look at getting my hands on them soon via his site.

All in all a very good night :-)

Paul,

As you are little more than a stones throw from me (albeit quite a hard stones throw) any chance of something a bit more local next time? :D

Well that sounds a bit personal!

Definitely good fun though, I had a great time at the Liverpool lecture.

Just want to add to the conversation with how much I enjoyed the lecture and thank you to Paul for a great night and the books too, have had loads of fun reading them and tried out reading a few palms too.

My friend who I was sat with is a very visual close up magician and almost had a dislike for "mentalism" and anything of the sorts but come away from Pauls lecture with a new respect for it and is keen to learn more so that was great.

Warpedmagic, didn't know you'd be in Liverpool, shame or we could have said hello and had a chat. Hopefully we might bump into each other at a Manchester meetup
