So I don't know if anyone else has seen this, but Sankey is heavily promoting a new DVD or something called Bending the Real. He has been emphasising this so-called 'bend', stating that it is better than a magic trick.

And I find this highly annoying. To me it looks like it is just tricks with every day objects and cards, coins etc. His performance of these effects is also just the same as a usual Sankey performance.

He has a brilliant mind, but seems to waste it constantly battering out products as fast as possible to rope in beginners for some quick cash. And this 'bend' nonsense seems like another ploy. I wish he would stop this, and take some time to produce some really excellent material that I am sure he could come up with.

Now I may be totally wrong, so tell me! But this has been annoying me for ages - everytime I log in twitter its bend this, "conceptual bend" (and wtf is that even meant to mean?) that.

Any thoughts?

Most of his material is bloody c*** (not the best) and not practical along with some master pieces.As Craig Petty says the man needs a filther to filther out all the bad material he releases.He's seriously going downhill trying to grasp anything for an idea for a trick.

The whole bend thing is just his attempt to put a new word on effect trick.Trying to make his stuff more meaningful.It won't catch on.Why?Because the material on the DVD is bloody woeful.

One of the best things he's invented was paperclipped.So he realises this and makes a special edition Paperclipped DVD. MONEY MONEY MONEY.

Sorry if this comes across as being really cynical but I really can't stand this kind of thing!!
