How to gimmick up a paintball gun? Help please! :)

Postby Beardy » May 29th, '11, 15:08

Hey guys

Is there an efficient way to gimmick up a paint ball gun so that when it is in somebody's hands it can shoot not only when they press the trigger, but also when you press a remote control button?

Kind regards!

Love

Chris

In my spare time I do a LOT of paintball and airsofting,

My advice would be to find a professional product which you purchase which already has any gimmicking system built in ... I really would advise that you DO NOT try modifying an airsoft or paintball gun yourself, they are very dangerous (not trying to patronize) and can cause serious injury if you tinker with them - trust me, I've broken many of my prized Airsoft and Painball guns by trying to play with them myself (adding things to them, upgrading parts myself instead of paying a professional to do it)

I'm assuming that there are products out there - I've seen several magicians do "paintball in mouth" or similar tricks and they all use the same gun model.

Hope you can find something though

Dan

Absolutely nothing like anything Derren has done...in fact I'd be confused how the above request would mean I'm copying anything!

I believe Dee Christopher or Alan Rorrison has a marketed effect with paintball guns. Might be worth investigating.

I have, but just because a paintball gun was used doesn't mean I am doing anything similar.

In fact, this is as far away from that effect that you can get!

Otherwise it would equate to having a prediction inside a case/box being similar to evening of wonders, even if the overall effect is entirely different

hmm just a thought,

instead of using a gun what about something still with a hurtful prospect, why not try a industrial staple gun , for fitting carpets to wood?? could you acchieve the same effect with objects like these?

Afraid not - the paint splat is an important factor!

Thanks very much though!

A low cost solution would be a bit of string attached to the trigger.. I could think of a way of making a small electronic device that could fire the trigger via a laptop but the add on would be way to obvious to person holding the gun.
