Torn and Restored...

...Gum wrapper.

I'm trying to work out a one-man Ching Ling Foo paper strip tear (a tough project since the assistant's involvement in the original method was a critical piece of misdirection, but I digress...) and was going through my books looking for paper tear methods to feed my thoughts. Incidentally, I came across two interesting tricks involving tearing and restoring cigarette papers (Karl Germain's and Al Koran's) and found that gum wrappers make a neat modern day alternative.

What do y'all think?
