2010 Alec V's 2011 Alec

Hi everyone,

I was looking back through some old video's of mine and discovered that I had recorded my first ever version of Oil and Water almost a year ago. (8 days to be precise)
Back then I had never performed to a real audience and was pretty much just getting into magic in a serious sense. I didnt know many slights and was quite chuffed at what I had recorded a year ago.

I thought it might be quite nice to share with you my little journey back in time and to show how things have moved along for me. I hope you enjoy watching these videos.....They were a year in the making!!

I have posted the 2010 version here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IJkzH-T2Frc

and the 2011 version here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bzEMSoWhY7U

So......Have I got any better over the last year? My recording technology certainly has!

Your feed back, as always, will be appreciated. Many thanks.

Alec

I may have been born yesterday but I stayed up all night.

Definitely an improvement. The counts are a little messy, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

If the spectator doesn't engage in the effect,
then the only thing left is the method.

Yes, definitely an improvement. I dont think the counts are nessecarily messy (elm**ey im talking about) its that you're moving the wrong hand. The right hand should be still(ish), and the left hand should be doing the work of peeling the cards.
