Calling Tomo

Postby Beardy » Jun 24th, '11, 20:08

Aloha!

So...it's been bothering me for months upon months upon months on end...

What does this actually mean?

I know I'm not Tomo, but... The graph is just a graph. A working one, but just a graph. The punchline is the line underneath, which is all you need to understand.

It means there was definitely a moment of creation. Not a story about one, but an actual moment of creation.

Good, innit?

Yeah, but what was happening before that moment? And, and, what's on the outside of the Universe? Or does the universe just go on forever? And what happens when forever ends? And how come gravity is so weak? And, and, and...

Thank you for sharing that with us Rebecca. You are right, of course. All the knowledge we will ever need is contained within that clip.

Nothing happened before that moment because nothing existed, and hence there is nothing beyond the edge of our universe.

What worrries me is what happens when our universe stops expanding. Will it contract again and will time then go into reverse.
Will we meet ourselves coming back ? will we live our lives in reverse ?
Look out for the first signs. strange things might be about to happen. The first signs might when this thread star to dis s a pear

But what's nothing like? And how long does the nothingness go on for before it ends? And how long did the nothing last before the big bang (or whatever)? And what made the nothing happen? And was there anything before the nothing? And why did the big bang happen? How can nothing spontaneously become something? And, and, and.... I feel funny.

I will be surprised if Humans will ever figure out why is there something rather than nothing. Like fish in a fish tank, maybe our neurons are not good enough and so maybe its not comprehendable

The smart money at the moment is on the assumption that everything that can exist deos exist in the multi verse and thats why our universe seem fine tuned for life

There was no beginning, the Universe is an ever expanding bubble bath
