Hello. I'm Lary Crews (One R is correct; like the R in tutelary.) Some folks know me as MagicLary. Others call me "that old guy over there."
I've been a professional magician since 1976. I did close-up magic in restaurants in Florida for 20 years. Then, in Los Angeles (1999 to 2001) I was lucky enough to work for TV magician Mark Wilson (of Allakazam TV fame). I was a magician member of the Magic Castle and performed there. (I even left Billy McComb "come on" to my wife.)
At NBC TV studios, I performed line magic for tourists waiting for the Tonight Show for a couple years.
In Las Vegas, from 2003-2005, I worked as a strolling close-up magician at four casinos (Tropicana, MGM Grand, Stardust and Caesars Palace) and as the opening act for Rick Thomas, Illusionist.
Now back in Florida, I specialize in strolling (or Stand-Up) magic and am writing my fourth book on the subject. (It's my first book on the SUBJECT but my fourth book.)
I promise to be nice and not pushy like many Americans. My favorite comedian in the entire world is Eddie Izzard. (Although, Piff, the Magic Dragon and Paul Daniels are in the top five.)
Thank you. I'll be over here, sipping tea and trying not to get in the way.
