Review OOP Ortiz books?

Postby SpareJoker » Jul 11th, '11, 10:47

I was thinking of doing some pretty in-depth reviews of the Dawin Ortiz books 'At The Card Table' and 'Cardshark'

Both these books are however, currently out of print (and quite pricey to buy second-hand).

Is it worth me spending the time to put together the reviews, even though the books are pretty difficult to come across?

Thoughs and suggestions please :)

Only one word needed for review - awesome!

I was hoping to go into a little more detail than that.

I'm awaiting the arrival of the 10 dvd set by "Dawin Ortiz"

I am also considering buying the book.
So it's something I would be interested in.

Thanks for taking the time to do this Sparejoker.

Make them super raves. Then I can sell my secondhand copies at a huge premium! :D

"Cardshark" is better than Derren's "Pure Effect" isn't it? And therefore worth £££££s

Hello Stoner,

Are you seriously going to be selling the books?, & would it be worth me having both the books, & the dvd's also?

Your name brings all sorts of images to mind......

Some of my favourite Ortiz routines are in the books only (e.g. Timepiece - Cardshark).

IIRC, there are about 3-4 effects per book that are not on the respective DVD's. I'll make mention of which in my reviews.

While we're on the topic, are there any specific elements in the reviews people wish me to address?
