Card Toon

I have the effect card toon, and I'm struggling with something pretty simple. Without giving too much away, the bit I'm struggling with is where you "take their card out of the deck and put it on the front of the deck" -- without doing any suspicious moves.

Any tips?

It has been ages since I've done this effect, I'm talking a good 10 years or so. But I do remember when I used to demonstrate this in the shop (and I've sold hundreds of them) the secret was just to do the thing and not overly worry about it, (although true can be said of almost any effect). I really don't remember there even being a 'move' at that point. I can tell you I did learn it from the directions that came with the effect.

Not performed this for a while but when you spread through the deck to find their card, outjog both cards about 2 inches & square the rest of the deck. With the deck in the left hand put your right index finger on the left side of the outjogged cards (the side with the number in the corner) & in a windmill like motion (probably a technical name for this move) spin the card/cards clockwise. In this motion you have seemingly taken thei chosen card out of the deck & put it on the bottom of the deck, what you have actually done is take their card & the card underneath, span them round & put them on the bottom of the deck. You are now set to perform.

Hope this helps.
