THE BLACK SWAN INN,
YORK

Not sure how many will turn out for this event as it's been run by an agency. But it should be fun whatever, and be great to see some of you there.

Well should improve my palmistry skills. I had the car in the garage today, so was thinking I was going to have a tedious train journey to do or driving back with one light. But it was all sorted at no cost. Huzzah for my local garage.

Just a quick bump to invite any and all of you who might be in or around York tonight (Friday) to pop along to the Black Swan Inn where I'll be doing a presentation tonight. If it's quite busy, I'll be doing a show. If it's a bit quiet, I'll be doing a workshop type thing centering around palm reading, tarot card reading, and ESP. Be fun whatever. Only six squid.

Well I had a good time, despite a low turnout. It was good to see the Q&A in action. I enjoyed the psychometry. It was interesting seeing it done straight without additional trickery so to speak. I enjoyed the tarot discussion of no cards are bad, followed by a wonderful first reading of the some of the least positive in the deck.

The book test was interesting being just before the break as they were talking about it down in the bar. I've seen a lot of book tests performed. I seem to end up getting selected to choose the word a lot. But I've only ever seen book tests done either by magicians or mentalists in stage or parlour situations. Then when people have come out they've discussed it as a trick. This was different as they took it as an example of intuition rather than a trick. It was nice seeing a positive reaction to a book test.

It was lovely seeing the blessing. She was obviously very keen to receive the blessing and I'm sure will keep it somewhere safe.

The palm reading session was useful. It was nice to see it physically explained with a few extra details not in the book. So thank you for a useful night.

Glad you enjoyed it! I had a good time too. Low turnouts are something of a mixed blessing - on one level you're disappointed that there's only a handful of people around, but on a more positive note it does mean that you get to know each other during the night and it becomes a lot more informal.

I would have tried to make this if I had known about it more than 2 days in advance. ;)

Glad it went well and you both had a good time!
