Hello All!

Hey, I am Matthew Jackson, I love impromptu card magic, although I am gradually drifting towards some of the marketed, gimmick card tricks. Outside card magic, my other favourite type of magic is Cups and Balls. I love the cups and balls routine, and I am heavily inspired by the Fred Kaps routine. You can find this on YouTube, it is brilliant.

My favourite magician is Bill Malone, because he is very funny and is overall a great performer. I also like John Bannon though but not for his skill necesarily, but more his creativity. I love all his tricks, and my favourite is Beyond Fabulous or Dead Reckoning, both of which can be found in his great book, Dear Mr Fantasy.

Indeed. I have a few favourites, the Wonder routine being one of them. Michaels routine is my favourite of my favourites though :)

Hi Welcome, i quite like Ammar too he did two great dvd's on the subject.

I also enjoyed Gazzos performance on Penn and Teller fool us. I was sat round my mates house at the time which made it special for me. While i was sat there following the moves and trying to pick apart the routine my mate (layman) was totally blown away by it.

When he did the wand through cup i nearly did a little wee as my mate blurted out that there were obviously trap doors in the bottom of the cups and when he did the final melon production from the hat he was blown away.

The cups and balls are a great piece and imo everone should learn it and make it there own.

It's not really an optical illusion - it just looks like one!
